JILL SCOTT’S “PRESSHA” HITS NO. 1, WITH A LITTLE SYNCTUARY SOUND IN THE MIX

There’s something special about hearing music made close to home make its way out into the world.

Jill Scott’s To Whom This May Concern, her first album in more than a decade, features several tracks produced by Synctuary Sound co-founder Vincent “VT” Tolan, including standout single “Pressha,” co-produced by Jill Scott, VT, and Adam Blackstone.

“Pressha” recently reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, marking Scott’s first leader on the chart in nearly 13 years.

The connection to PASSERINE goes even deeper. The album was mixed by Synctuary Sound in its recording studio located inside PASSERINE HQ in Los Angeles, a creative home for everything from original music for PASSERINE projects to records, film, television, and beyond.

For us, it’s exciting to see the work coming out of Synctuary continue to find its way into the world. From creating original music for PASSERINE projects to producing and mixing records with some of music’s most singular voices, it’s all part of the creative ecosystem we’re building together.

And hearing “Pressha” at No. 1?

That sounds pretty good from here.
