A Better Way to BTS

People love seeing how things get made. The decisions. The happy accidents. The people behind the thing. Maybe even a little bit of the chaos.

There’s a reason behind-the-scenes content has become its own genre. Audiences increasingly want original, entertaining content that humanizes the brands they follow, and getting a peek behind the curtain does exactly that.

We love that too. We just started wondering: why does behind-the-scenes have to look like behind-the-scenes?

So we made BBTS: Behind Behind the Scenes.

Instead of simply documenting what happened on set, we take the story of how the work got made and make something new from it. We find the funny detail, strange circumstance, creative problem, unexpected character, or tiny piece of truth hiding somewhere behind the production. Then we craft a narrative around it and turn it into its own short film.

It’s not quite BTS. It’s not quite fiction. And it definitely shouldn’t be treated as an entirely reliable historical record. But, it is our way of letting people into our creative process without leaving the creativity out of it.
